Daniel Peltz’s conceptual art works frequently employ film and video technologies and reflect on media infrastructures through intervention, ethnographic and performance methodologies. His recent works have included public comMissions [the 2008 Democratic National Convention (www.dialogcity.org) and the City of Cambridge, MA (scheduled 2010)] as well as gallery exhibitions and small-scale video and agit-prop projects. In 2007-08 Daniel was the recipient of a Fulbright Research award hosted by Konstfack’s Interdisciplinary Studies Program in Stockholm, Sweden and in the following year of a IASPIS stipendiat hosted by K3 in Malmo, Sweden. Prior to his arrival at RISD, Daniel worked as a visiting artist at the Treistman Center for Research in New Media and the Media Arts Department at the University of Arizona. When not escaping his home country, he live in Pawtucket, RI.
