In this course students will learn basic Java-based programming languages. Using Processing, Nodebox, Max/MSP and Scriptographer, students will learn how to create automation and data driven solutions for the realization of individual projects. Some of these projects may include generative drawing, creating optimal paths for laser cutting objects, building experimental typefaces, and rasterizing images with customized shapes. By learning these programming languages, we will create opportunities for artist and designer to visualize their concepts and expand their capabilities and tools for creating new works.
