Triton Mobley is a media artist whose research examines the psychological effects of technology on our daily life. His works explore the socioeconomic, sociopolitical and cultural constructs that technology places upon its users. Through the employment of gorilla performance, digital technologies and interventionist means, Triton creates installations that meet at the convergence of these entities. From the navigation of physical space through cell phone usage to corporate training of consumer conduct with self-service systems, his installations offer a framing of the juxtaposition between individuals and digital technologies where they coexist, meant for public reexamination.
