ARTIST STATEMENT Beautiful images and consumption are constants in my practice as a multi-media artist, whether working  in video, performance, or installation art. I work very consciously with color, costume, objects, and set design to delight and seduce the viewer. The work provokes a critique of contemporary consumer and online culture sparking questions related to cultures of excess. Elements of humor and magical realism intersect with queer and gender theory, making the material confrontational and suggestive. My narratives often end anticlimactically, offering some intellectual satisfaction yet at odds with the viewer's pure enjoyment of the spectacle.
