Michael Tauschinger-Dempsey started his formal artistic training at the Escola Massana in Barcelona, Spain. He received his MFA in sculpture with a focus on architecture from the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf in Germany. His earlier work was primarily a mediation on man's physical, geographical and psychological alienation from nature. His current work explores the concept of belonging and the effects immersive experiences and environments have on meta-level, society, and the proto-level, the individual. Mr. Tauschinger-Dempsey is a first year Masters candidate in the Digital+Media department of the Rhode Island School of Design.
